There are things in life that bring me an overwhelming amount of happiness. Such things include: puppies, reality television, and Chanel. Every year I wait for their shows with the same bubbly excitement that a little girl might have, the night before Christmas.
I remember early this year, when I first saw the pictures of the Cruise Collection show online - the Ancient Greece inspired collection, come off strong. The models looked beautiful, and confident, not as girly as I typically picture them to be, but more sure of themselves, as you would imagine a Greek Goddess. The runway set was close to that of a movie's, and it seemed overall unreal that it was taking place in Paris.
Needless to say, when I came across the collection, and the opportunity to shoot it, in Panama, it was unbelievable. Starting this blog has taken my down an unimaginable road, and at times, I can't believe how unreal my life can be. I'm not lying when I tell you that dreams can come true.
The Cruise 2017-18 Collection features earth tones, tiaras and accessories in the shape of Greek columns. It balances the obvious elegance the Chanel name carries, with the essence of a youthful, playful, and confident woman.
All pictures were shot in Casco Viejo, Panama. A part of Panama that is extremely charismatic and charming. I share with you my photo diary, which aims to explore my favorite corners of Casco Viejo and put them in conversation with my favorite looks from the Chanel Cruise 2017-18 Collection.
